Dark Dart Dash 5k

The Dark Dart Dash 5K is a single-lap night-time trail race starting and finishing at Dartington Hall, Devon. From the start the route heads north out of the Hall grounds and follows tracks across the estate, running through woodland and open fields past the Dartington Deer Park towards the River Dart, whose banks the route follows for part of the lap. A section of the course is run in both directions along the same straight track, before the route loops through the woodland on the western side of the estate and returns to the Hall. The surface is a mix of gravel, grass and short sections of tarmac, with some mud. The profile is rolling, with a steady descent to the valley floor near the one-kilometre mark, a climb to the high point about halfway round, and a long descent before the final climb back to the finish.
