Shoreham Woods 10K Trail Run & Canicross

The Shoreham Woods 10K Trail Run starts and finishes off Shacklands Road in Shoreham Woods, near Sevenoaks in Kent. The scenic course runs almost entirely off-road through the woodland itself, with organisers warning of hard-hitting hills and genuinely challenging sections that make a personal best unlikely. The terrain is proper woodland trail rather than manicured path, reflecting the natural, undulating character of the site, with the climbs concentrated in specific tougher stretches rather than spread evenly throughout. A Canicross category runs alongside the standard race for those wanting to take on the hills with their dog. Chip timed throughout, with prizes for the top three men and women plus a team prize, the event is run as a fundraiser, with a donation from every entry going directly towards the maintenance and upkeep of Shoreham Woods itself, and further optional support for Alzheimer's Research UK.
