About this race
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed-road run through the heart of central London and the only half marathon to pass through both the City of Westminster and the City of London. The route starts near Downing Street in Westminster, close to Big Ben, then follows the Thames Embankment east towards the City. Runners pass the Tower of London and the Gherkin and wind through the streets of the City of London, passing St Paul's Cathedral, before returning west towards Trafalgar Square. The race finishes under Nelson's Column. The course is on paved city streets and is essentially flat, with a few short rises along the way. The 2026 edition passed 16 landmarks, including Big Ben, the Shard, the London Eye and the Tower of London. The race is organised by Tommy's, and profits support its research into miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.
