About this race
The Cambridge Half Marathon is a UKA certified 13.1-mile road race through the heart of Cambridge, starting on Victoria Avenue with the event village based on Midsummer Common. The course is fast and largely flat, with only a few gentle undulations, and runs on closed or partially closed roads. The route passes through the historic city centre and the private grounds of four University of Cambridge colleges, including St John's, Trinity, King's and Jesus, taking in some of the city's best known architecture. The route then leaves town for the countryside on the edge of Cambridge, passing through villages such as Grantchester and Trumpington, where crowds are thinner. Heading back towards the river and the city, the course includes a long, straight, slightly downhill section before the final mile, which features some cobbles and several twists and turns. Pacers are provided throughout.
