About this race
The Big Half is London's community half marathon, run through the streets of east London from Tower Bridge to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The race starts close to Tower Bridge and passes through Wapping, Canary Wharf, Bermondsey, Rotherhithe and Deptford on its way to Greenwich. The 13.1 mile course is a point-to-point route along both banks of the Thames. Across the course it passes through the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich, with community cheer zones along the way. The final mile of the course is also run separately as The Big Mile. The race finishes outside the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, next to the historic ship, and is organised by London Marathon Events, who also stage the TCS London Marathon. Limited charity places are available alongside general entries.
