Bournemouth Coastal TEN 10k

The Bournemouth Coastal TEN 10k starts and finishes at Hengistbury Head in Southbourne, on the eastern edge of Bournemouth. Runners head west along the seafront promenade past Southbourne towards Boscombe, before turning back along the same coastal path to return to Hengistbury Head. The course is out and back along the beach-side paths with sea views across the bay, and on clear days the Isle of Wight, The Needles and Old Harry Rocks can be seen. It is entirely paved and largely traffic-free. The profile is largely flat along the promenade, with a short rise near the start and finish at Hengistbury Head and one short climb towards a cliff top. It is a fast and beginner-friendly course, rated one out of five for difficulty.
