The Rathfinny Christmas Run 10k

The Rathfinny Christmas Run is a 10k made up of two laps of the Rathfinny Wine Estate, starting and finishing at The Tasting Room near Alfriston in the South Downs. The route weaves along tracks between the vine rows, crossing the estate towards the wooded slopes on its western side and back east towards the fields above Litlington. Cambered paths and short climbs and descents are found throughout, and the profile is undulating, with a drop towards the valley floor on the western edge of the estate and a long, gradual climb back up through the vines. Surfaces are mainly grass, chalk and flint trail, with only short paved sections. Views stretch across the South Downs National Park, and runners are asked to bring their own bottle or cup, as water is available only at the start and finish.
