Dark Valley Night Trails 10k

The Dark Valley Night Trails 10K is a night-time trail run at Moors Valley Country Park near Ringwood, Dorset, set on a fully signed loop marked with fluorescent directional markers. The 10K is a single lap of the course, which the 20K and 30K runners repeat two and three times. The course follows wide, winding tree-lined forest paths and tracks, almost entirely off-road, with some open areas offering views of the night sky. From the start and finish area the route heads out across the forest on a series of tracks, crossing between the long straight forest rides to the north-east before returning to the finish. The profile is gently rolling, rising gradually to a high point around the halfway mark before easing down towards the finish. Headtorches are required for navigation, and a GPX file is available to download.
