Maverick Suffolk Gravel Run 23k

The Maverick Suffolk Gravel Run 23k starts and finishes at Wantisden Hall, Woodbridge, in the Suffolk AONB. From the start the route heads north along a track beside the former airfield, then turns east across open farmland towards Chillesford. It swings north-east into Tunstall Forest and follows long straight forest rides through the plantation, before reaching the edge of the River Alde estuary near Iken. The return runs south through Iken and follows a long, straight diagonal track back towards Chillesford, with a final stretch west across fields to Wantisden. The surface is mostly sandy forest track and gravel, with a small amount of tarmac, and the profile is flat throughout. The course suits runners of all levels, with easy trails through woodland, and starts and finishes in the event village.
