Maverick Suffolk Gravel Run 9k

The Maverick Suffolk Gravel Run 9k starts and finishes at Wantisden Hall, Woodbridge, in the Suffolk AONB. The route heads north along a track beside the former airfield, then turns east across open farmland on farm tracks and lanes and south-east towards Chillesford. Near Chillesford the route loops through woodland tracks before heading back west past Drydale Bottom on the final stretch to Wantisden. The surface is mostly sandy forest track and gravel, with a small amount of tarmac, and the profile is essentially flat, with one gentle dip into a low-lying valley section about halfway round. It is the shortest of three distances starting from the event village, alongside the 16k and 23k, and suits first-time trail runners with easy, runnable trails through woodland and farmland.
