Winter X 32k

The Winter X 30k combines two of the four out-and-back legs of the Winter X course from The Meon Hall in Meonstoke, Hampshire. The North leg follows the flat old railway line towards West Meon and back. The East leg climbs from the valley onto the South Downs Way, running along the downs to the Sustainability Centre near East Meon before returning to Meonstoke. The Meon Hall acts as the central checkpoint between the two legs. The surface is a mix of well-trodden public trail, old railway line and short road sections, and the profile combines a flat railway section with long climbs and descents on the downs. The course is marked, GPX files are provided, and runners start individually once a marshal sends them off.
