Winter X 52k

The Winter X 52k combines three of the four out-and-back legs of the Winter X course from The Meon Hall in Meonstoke, Hampshire. The North leg follows the flat old railway line towards West Meon and back, and the East leg runs along the South Downs Way to the Sustainability Centre near East Meon. The West leg also follows the South Downs Way, climbing to Beacon Hill before continuing to Holden Farm and returning the same way. The Meon Hall is the central checkpoint, with further checkpoints at Holden Farm and the Sustainability Centre. The surface is a mix of well-trodden public trail, old railway line and short road sections, and the profile is hilly, with repeated long climbs and descents on the downs. The course is marked, with GPX files provided.
