Maverick Dark Oxfordshire 13k

The Maverick Dark Oxfordshire Middle course is the 13km option within the Stonor Park night trail event, held after dark in the Chiltern Hills. Like the longer route, it runs across the private Stonor Park estate on rough, undulating trail and bridleway, with runners relying on head torches to pick their way through wooded and open parkland sections. The course takes in a shorter, slightly less demanding loop than the 17km route but still features sustained climbing and descending typical of the Chiltern landscape, along with sections through the estate's woodland, home to fallow deer and wallabies. An outpost partway round offers runners a chance to refuel before the final stretch back to Stonor Park. Run entirely off-road, the Middle route is aimed at those wanting a genuine trail challenge without the full distance of the Long course, while still experiencing the atmosphere of night running through the estate.
